Sepi Shahinfard has over 13 years of consulting experience in the energy industry, the majority of which has involved assisting clients with large-scale, technically complex energy efficiency and demand management program implementation and evaluation across all sectors, along with several years of experience in building systems design and commissioning. Her combined experience as a design engineer, implementer and evaluator has given her a deep understanding of policy and regulatory challenges inherent in the energy landscape, and research methodologies tailored to effectively evaluate different program delivery mechanisms and complex program design. Her strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills ensure well-planned research and thorough understanding and buy-in of research methods, findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Her areas of expertise include leading and providing technical and policy support for implementation and evaluation of demand side management programs, emerging technology assessments, end-use metering, meter data analysis, baseline studies, policy compliance and project eligibility reviews, nonresidential energy auditing, technical reviews, workpaper development, deemed savings and technical reference manual reviews, stakeholder engagement and project management.
Ms. Shahinfard obtained her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University and her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology.
In her spare time, she enjoys mixing up her fitness routine, floral design, interior decorating, traveling, following international fashion, experimenting with recipes and dining out to experience cuisines from around the world and spending time with her family and friends.
